Missions

Calvary Chapel Gwinnett (CCG) supports numerous local and world-wide mission organizations and individuals.

  • Gospel for Asia – Gospel for Asia trains natives of targeted regions to reach their own people in their own tongue and culture. Once coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus, a person of Asian origin can attend Bible college and then return to their own culture as missionaries to reach their people for Christ. Visit www.gfa.org.
  • Operation Christmas Child (OCC) – Each November, we as a church participate in this project of Franklin Graham’s “Samaritan Purse.” Members of our church fill shoeboxes with small gifts and toiletries for boys and girls ranging from ages 2 to 14. These boxes are taken to an OCC collection site, processed and then sent to impoverished children around the world. OCC also includes Gospel literature in the child’s native language for each shoebox.
  • Peter Augustine, Hour of Preparation Ministries, Dominica – Peter Augustine worked as a school teacher for 31 years until called into full time ministry as an evangelist in May 2001. He is the founder of “The Hour of Preparation Radio Ministry” that airs over 11 radio stations in the Caribbean. He has helped establish 9 churches and serves as president of the Dominica Association of Evangelical Churches. Peter is married to wife Shirley and is the father of two children, Chad and Shari.
  • Yearly Mission Trips – Most every year, we sponsor a Summer Mission Trip to various regions of the world including locations such as Mexico, Scotland, Dominica, and Honduras to name a few.
